Cuisinart 7 Cup Food Processor - Do I Need One?

I love cooking, but all that chopping! It is so time-consuming to stand there and chop, chop, chop. So, yes to the question "Cuisinart 7 cup food processor - do I need one?" Once you own one of these machines you wonder how you ever managed without one. You lament all the hours you wasted by doing everything by hand, not to speak of the boredom.

OK, so there are a few things you have to think about when you are thinking about food processors, even the Cuisinart 7 cup food processor range:

  • Obviously the size is very important; you do not want to buy an expensive appliance and end up with one too small or too big for your purposes. Here the size of your family plays a very big role, for a big family a seven cup will simply be too small and it will be a better idea to buy a bigger one.

  • What you actually want to use it for. It is no use buying an appliance that cannot do everything you want it to do. It is also no good buying one with way more gadgets and stuff than you will ever use. So, before you start looking for one, it is important to really take the time to list everything you will want to do with it.

  • Make sure the machine is actually strong enough for what you want to do with it. It may be BIG, but it must also be STRONG! Unfortunately, most often the better ones will be a little more pricy. I think it is well worth the extra money, but only you can make that decision.

  • Make sure that your machine will actually sit nicely where you want it to. It is useless buying a big machine but you have nowhere to put it. You are not going to use a machine you have to unpack every time you want to use it. It has to be conveniently at hand when you need it.

So, as you can see, it is not just a case of grabbing the very first one that you see, even if it is a Cuisinart 7 cup food processor. You have to make sure it is what you actually want and that the machine can do everything you need it for. You are going to spend a lot of money on this appliance, make sure you choose the right one.
